MAINTENANCE

Rob reported that we will need a new pump for the lagoon aerators as there is not enough air flow now.  The aerator in the pond is working. Snow removal went well for the first snow fall. There were no cars on Main St, which made cleanup easier.

VISITORS

Brian Nott was present from Fehr Graham. We discussed the options for the summer street maintenance. A slurry mix is a specialty product and has a high price tag. Micro surfacing is a 3/8-inch overlay with a cement mix. It is a hard product and may cause us to have to replace snow blades more often. Brian feels our best option is to do the Crack Sealing. This costs 75 cents to $1.25 aper linear foot. The more footage we do the better pricing. Also, if we coordinate our sealing with Freeport, we may get a better price since they will not have to travel. We need to identify the streets and get the information to Brian by February/March time.

North Street water retention – Brian will investigate this so we can close out the project. We would like to see something in writing to either repair once again or relinquish the retainer money.

We will need to do a resolution to use our MFT funds for cold patch, salt, road signs, and street lighting. We need to do an estimate cost and submit to the state before any payments are made.

FINANCE/TIF FINANCE

Tim made a motion to increase the wages for the employees by 2.5%. This includes Maintenance, Snow Plowing, Summer Help, Police, Clerk and Treasurer.  Motion second by Tom.  Motion carried.
